The opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference.
The opposite of art is not ugliness, it's indifference.
The opposite of faith is not heresy, it's indifference.
And the opposite of life is not death, it's indifference.

For Him

I see him everyday
Talk to him deep into the night.
His shoulders strong and broad
I wonder how they would feel
As I reach upto him for a kiss.
I wonder how he would smell
As I melt into him- my body fitting right into his.
I wonder if it would set us afire,
My moist bare skin on his.
This man that I see everyday,
That I so yearn to kiss.

I wonder if his sinewy arms are also gentle
As he draws me to him so close.
This man who bedazzles me, who seduces me,
This man who I long for, the most.

I wonder if when we meet,
Our bodies will yearn for each other,
Get so entangled in one another,
That I would barely know,
Where I end and he begins.

I want to feel his warm breath on my neck
As he wraps his arms around me from behind.
And gently lifts and carries me to bed
Where we lie for hours intertwined.

I wonder if his lips that I have traced so often with my fingers
Are as soft and captivating as I imagine them to be.
I wonder if his smile is truly as charming as it seems,
If his eyes are as calm, if his eyes are as serene.

I wonder if he yearns for me as much as I
I wonder if this longing will last,
As the days go by.
This longing for this man that I see everyday
This man that I talk to, deep into the night.

the Moon

That spell-binding, glowing orb in the velvety sky,

Go look for it now, lest it be gone too soon.

It brings back memories of you, of me, of us,

That magnificent thing that they call the Moon.
